Master of Music

Lauren Piccirillo is a professional bassoonist and teacher. She received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where she graduated 
Summa Cum Laude.
She is currently Second Bassoon in the Greenville (SC) Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with many orchestras including the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, the Muncie Symphony Orchestra, the Dayton Philharmonic, the Middletown Symphony Orchestra, the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony, and the North Charleston Pops.
Lauren is the bassoonist in the double reed quartet the Double Or Nothing Ensemble and Co-Founder of Double Or Nothing Reeds. She makes and sells her reeds through her business Prelude, Inc.
During her graduate studies, Lauren worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Music Theory department at CCM where she has experience tutoring students and teaching Graduate Music Theory and Analysis. Lauren was Adjunct Bassoon Professor at Xavier University, Earlham College, and the College of Mount Saint Joseph, and taught woodwinds and music theory at Franklin College. After managing a 200-student music studio, Lauren started her own music business called Prelude Inc., through which she continues to teach and perform. Lauren's teaching background includes private Piano, Bassoon, Saxophone, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Violin lessons in addition to Preschool General Music and Upper Elementary Music.
Lauren served as the Vice President/Music Chair of the Three Arts Scholarship Fund and as Business Manager for concert:nova.  She is currently a member of the American Federation of Musicians and the International Double Reed Society.
